Body Centered Psychotherapy
An Intensive Training
Body held trauma and cellular memory. This training offers systems and therapies that access the trauma held in the body and teaches techniques and systems that provide a different favorable emotional outcome. Working with the emotional imprint that is held in the body and relieving the reactive response to its triggers will give your client a conscious choice, rather then an automatic behavior.
Topics to be covered in this seminar include the history of body psychotherapy. Body psychotherapy as a discipline. Body psychotherapy today. Assessment and diagnosis in body psychotherapy. Character structures. Identifying and working with individual structures. How to set explicit boundaries before intervention. The proper use of touch when indicated. Body psychotherapy without touch. Applications for trauma therapy. Understanding the autonomic nervous system, the sympathetic nervous system, and the pars-sympathetic nervous system. Somatic consciousness of trauma, body memory, the use of imagery in body oriented psychotherapies. The somatic bridge and how to use it therapeutically. The psycho-spiritual body in psychotherapy. Hykome therapy. The energy in psychotherapy. The energetic process, the energy field, expanding, contracting, disembodying. Energetic self awareness. Helping your client become aware of their energetic processes. Energetic integration. A discussion of the three models for body psychotherapy. There will be a discussion on which technique is best to use with each personality type and type of trauma. There will practice sessions, demonstrations, handouts, and protocols. This is a training best suited for therapists, C.M.T.’s, Hypnotherapists and healing professionals, yet anyone interested can benefit by attending.
